Duties

  • Serves as a Retail Business Process Analyst for Industrial Support Activity (ISA) production and maintenance operations, providing expert functional and technical support across retail supply activities and Military Wholesale Planning
  • Operates independently as a subject matter expert for supply operations within Planning, establishing operational goals and performance metrics with process partners (Process Owner, Site Process Management Lead, and Enterprise Process Integrator).
  • Performs complex analytical work to resolve issues outside established procedures by coordinating effective solutions across multiple functional stakeholder.
  • Serves as technical authority for system applications governing automated supply management and data maintenance.
  • Identifies the source (s) of discrepancies, and input, manipulate, extract, and maintain automated information using a variety of systems.
  • Serves as technical authority for all facets of supply operations in the Planning process by working with the Process Owner, Site Process Management Lead, and Enterprise Process Integrator to define goals and objectives related to KPIs and metrics.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and evaluates Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, and other process performance data to ensure process area is meeting its performance targets and identifies trends.
  • Defines functional training requirements, develops training materials, recommends training delivery (CBT or Instructor-led), and conducts training in various environments.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Supply Systems Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support:

A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:

  • Working with system applications related to Planning (i.e., Demand and Supply Planning) to include system functionality and business capabilities
  • Generating and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics for a Planning process area
  • Interpreting policy and directives affecting Planning, to implement and/or recommend new or revised policies and operating instruction.
  • Conducting studies to determine whether proposed changes to system applications related to Planning meet functional user requirements
  • Evaluating and recommending new Planning concepts, methods and techniques
  • Preparing and delivering briefings to higher level managers of analysis findings, recommended improvements, and action plans related to Planning trends

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
