The
Supply Planning Specialist is responsible for developing and executing short-, medium-, and long-term supply plans that ensure product availability, optimize inventory, and support service level objectives across the Canadian network. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Demand Planning, Logistics, Finance, Sales, and Quality teams to balance supply and demand while managing capacity constraints and inventory investments.
The Supply Planning Specialist utilizes advanced analytics, scenario planning, SAP/IBP planning tools, and continuous improvement methodologies to support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes and drive operational excellence. The position plays a key role in optimizing network performance, improving planning processes, and supporting strategic supply chain initiatives.

- Salary scale 005: $84 600 to $105 800 (Base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, training, and skills related to the position.)
Your role in achieving results:- Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term supply plans aligned with S&OP and IBP processes.
- Manage supply planning activities across manufacturing facilities and distribution networks to ensure customer demand requirements are met.
- Create and evaluate scenario-based plans to assess risks, opportunities, and supply alternatives.
- Perform rough-cut capacity planning and identify manufacturing, supplier, warehouse, and transportation constraints.
- Develop recommendations to address capacity shortages, inventory risks, and service-level challenges.
- Support strategic inventory management and optimization initiatives across the network.
- Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Demand Planning, Finance, Quality, and Commercial teams to align supply plans with business objectives.
- Lead and participate in planning meetings to review supply performance, constraints, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Conduct advanced supply chain analyses to identify optimization opportunities and support decision-making.
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards, planning tools, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Act as a key user and subject matter expert for SAP, SAP IBP, and related planning systems.
- Participate in strategic supply chain projects, including network optimization, automation, digital transformation, and IBP initiatives.
What we are looking for to deliver these results:- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, Commerce, or a related field.
- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) is considered an asset.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Supply Planning, Production Planning, Inventory Planning, or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment required.
- SAP IBP, SAP APO, or advanced planning system experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with SAP ERP, MRP, and DRP processes preferred.
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools is an asset.
- Experience within food, dairy, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or process manufacturing environments is preferred.
