Summary:
Provide overall leadership for Children's Strategic Sourcing operations, cost management, vendor management, vendor performance management. Develop and implement strategies to lead continuous improvement of quality and service levels. Responsible for Sourcing operations and manage FTE's responsible for acquisitions of all stock, non-stock, specials, service, and capital procurement. Integrate continuous process improvement into all aspects of departmental operations to ensure standardization of processes, products and inventory methods to optimize availability, reduce variation, and minimize total cost to own. Responsible for management of related Supply Chain policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

* Develop, deliver and sustain strategic sourcing services across multiple categories of spending, including but not limited to medical-surgical supplies, equipment, information systems, research, facilities, and other professional services. Provide leadership to sourcing teams in order to effectively research market opportunity and drive strategic direction, price benchmarking and accuracy, and agreements to reduce TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) as related to sourcing influenced costs. Set procurement policy and direction to expand sourcing influence and ideally minimize cost and performance variation. Develop and sustain standardized work to ensure daily procurement operations meet or exceed customer expectations.

* May direct efforts to identify, implement and monitor supplier performance targets. Monitor supplier performance regarding delivery, cost and lead-time variance control.
* Control operating budgets as assigned.

* Develop team performance metrics.
* Participate in steering committees including organizational wide value analysis activities.
* Expert project management skills with a working knowledge of statistical process controls.
* Able to develop metrics (specifically those supporting TCO reduction objectives), methods and procedures which drive results across the enterprise, promoting best practices and service control

How You'll Be Successful:

WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 10 years' previous experience that includes strategic sourcing, value analysis, project management (preferably statistical process controls), change management, benchmarking or process improvement. Required
* At least 5 years' In leadership level positions with multidisciplinary responsibilities. Required
* Knowledge of State and Federal regulatory and accrediting agency standards and guidelines for safety, quality and billing compliance for hospital and supplies and equipment. Preferred.

EDUCATION
* Four-year bachelor's degree. Required.
