Supply Chain Project Manager to join our cohesive and diverse team in
Redmond, WA.JOB SUMMARYThe Supply Chain Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all supply chain activities related to manufacturing work transfers (external supplier transitions, and insourcing/outsourcing initiatives). This role ensures that materials, suppliers, and logistics are aligned to support seamless transfer of production with no disruption to customer delivery, quality, or compliance requirements.
You will work closely with Operations, Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and external suppliers to develop and execute comprehensive transfer plans, manage risk, and maintain aerospace-grade standards of traceability and control.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSWork Transfer Management - Lead end-to-end supply chain workstream for work transfer projects from initiation through stabilization
- Develop detailed supply chain project plans including milestones, material readiness gates, risk register, and contingency plans
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, SQE, MfgE, QE, TE, and PM) to align material, supplier readiness, tooling and equipment transfers
- Define and track supply chain KPIs for each transfer (on-time material readiness, PPV impact, supplier OTD, inventory exposure, etc.)
- Facilitate regular project reviews and status updates with stakeholders and leadership
Material and Inventory Readiness - Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure all drawing and parts lists are provided to the supplier, including ECO's
- Partner with Master Scheduling and Supply Chain to create material build-ahead, last-time-buy, and phase-in/phase-out plans for transferred work
- Analyze inventory exposure (excess, obsolete, stranded) and develop mitigation actions
- Coordinate material moves between suppliers while maintaining traceability and proper documentation
Supplier and Sourcing Coordination - Support qualification and onboarding of new suppliers required for work transfers; work with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality to ensure requirements are met
- Lead supplier readiness reviews (capacity, lead time, quality, material status) specific to transferred products
- Coordinate changes to purchasing agreements, schedules, and forecasts related to the transfer with Supply Chain
- Drive supplier communication plans and monitor supplier performance during and after transfer
Risk Management - Proactively identify risks associated with work transfers (capacity, single points of failure, logistics, obsolescence, regulatory changes)
- Develop and execute mitigation plans, including safety stock strategies, alternate sourcing, and schedule adjustments
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Act as the primary supply chain point of contact for all work transfer projects.
- Coordinate closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Program Management, Finance, and Customer Support/CRR areas
- Ownership of RAILs by ensuring supply chain issues and actions are captured, owned, and closed out.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Experience:Minimum Qualifications: - BA/BS degree in related subject matter
- 10 years related experience
Preferred Qualifications:Base salary range is $102,687 - $154,061 per year. Midpoint is $128,359.Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered.
