THE WORK
The selected candidate will lead teams responsible for overseeing subcontractors and critical subcontracted systems across a variety of contract types and programs. This role is responsible for ensuring supplier compliance with contractual requirements, company policies, and program objectives while driving successful execution of cost, schedule, technical, financial, and quality performance requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading all phases of subcontract management from business case development and make/buy decisions through RFP development, negotiations, execution, and contract closeout.
Developing sourcing and subcontract program management strategies that support program capture efforts, execution objectives, and risk mitigation plans.
Acting as the primary interface between subcontractors and program leadership teams.
Managing subcontract performance to ensure achievement of contractual milestones, schedules, and technical specifications.
Leading cross-functional teams composed of engineering, quality, procurement, and program personnel to support successful supplier execution and program delivery.
Driving supplier accountability, affordability initiatives, and overall subcontract performance.
Establishing milestone objectives and implementing strategies to manage subcontractor execution risks and performance challenges.
Supporting program startup activities and ensuring smooth transition from proposal and negotiation phases into program execution.

You are skilled at balancing program priorities while driving supplier performance and delivering results aligned with customer commitments.
Basic Qualifications
Experience managing complex subcontracts, suppliers, or major procurement programs in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or related industries.
Proven leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional stakeholders including engineering, quality, procurement, finance, and program management.
Experience overseeing supplier performance related to cost, schedule, technical execution, and quality requirements.
Knowledge of subcontract lifecycle management including RFP development, negotiations, execution, risk management, and contract closeout.
Experience developing sourcing strategies, make/buy analyses, and subcontract management plans.
Ability to manage supplier relationships and serve as the primary interface between subcontractors and program leadership.
Experience supporting program milestones, contractual compliance, and delivery commitments.
Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Desired skills
Experience with LMAP.
Experience supporting Advanced Programs or complex defense/aerospace development efforts.
Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and government contracting requirements.
Experience managing high-risk or performance-based subcontract efforts.
Demonstrated ability to lead supplier recovery efforts and mitigate program risks.
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), Basis of Estimate (BOE), or proposal development activities.
Strong executive communication and briefing skills with senior leadership and external partners.
Experience driving supplier affordability, strategic sourcing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ability to influence without authority across matrixed organizations.
SAP, Procure-to-Pay, or other supply chain/procurement systems experience.
MBA, advanced degree, or professional certifications in Supply Chain, Program Management, or Procurement preferred.
Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
