Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Planning Manager will lead the strategic and tactical aspects of supply chain planning, with a specific focus on managing promotional demand and supply plans, new shop opening inventory, and multiple distribution center and Supplier partnerships. This role will require close collaboration with marketing, operations,distributionand other key stakeholders to ensure the successful alignment of supply and demand through effective operating plan management. The Supply Chain Planning Manager will ensure alignment between supply and demand forecasts, while optimizing inventory flexibility, minimizing waste, andmaintaininghigh service levels and product availability across our distribution network.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, orotherrelevant field, required

LocationRequirement: 
This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

Limited Time Offers Planning & Execution:

  • Lead end-to-end planning for promotional activities, ensuringtimelyproduct availability, accurateforecasting, and efficient stock allocation that allows for flexibility in performance while limiting waste

  • Build recommended LTO buys for promotional periods in alignment with projected sales and operational plans. Lead conversation in the S&OP meeting with cross functional teams to gain alignment on final buy quantities and allocation strategies. Collaborate with Distribution to build the distribution allocation strategy for all LTO promotional periods on LTO and pantry items. 

  • Monitor LTO performance, adjust supply plans as necessary, and ensure product availability while limiting waste. Proactively call out any inventory risks as early as possible.

  • Own and execute the LTO recap process with the S&OP team to include performance, wins, and lessons learned to be applied to future promotions.

New Shop Opening Supply Planning: 

  • Build and deliver the inventory strategy for new shop openings, ensuring proper inventory levels for each new location 

  • Collaborate with finance/ real estate to understand forecasted demand for new locations and ensure inventory is balanced to meet opening performance requirements 

  • Drive continuous improvement in the NSO process to evolve and adapt to changes in the business and store level needs 

 

 Supplier & Distributor Forecasting: 

  • Build and drive the strategy for supplier forecasting processes including frequency, format, and depth of the forecasts based on the needs of the supplier and the business. 

  • Build and drive the strategy for Distributor forecasting processes including frequency, format, and depth of the forecasts based on the needs of the distributor and the business. 

 

Other: 

  • Hire, develop and mentor the planning team to build a pipeline of talent that can support Supply Chain Planning execution with Dutch Bros shop growth. 

  • Provide actionable insights on supply chain performance to leadership. Collaborate with planning, procurement and distribution to adjust strategies as needed 

  • Build and maintain model for reviewing delivery frequency associated with sales, footprint, product mix and inventory management practice to ensure scalable models are built within the distribution partnerships 

  • Identify and evaluate the right tools and systems to support and scale Supply Chain Planning execution with Dutch Bros shop growth.

Physical Requirements:

  • In-Office Environment: Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions

  • Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings 

  • Office Conditions: Adaptability to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels

  • Mobility: Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches.  Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds

  • Hearing Requirements: Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls. Use of hearing aids or other assistive devices is acceptable if needed.

  • Reading and Writing Proficiency: Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to handle job-related tasks effectively.

  • Vision Requirements: Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed.

  • Technology Proficiency: Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software. 

  • Effective Communication: Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools.
