Earthmoving Division has an exciting career opportunity for you as a Supply Chain Planning Engineer within the Value Chain team. Our vision is to provide operations and value chain solutions that transform product strategy into reality.

As a Supply Chain Planning Engineer, you will lead efforts aimed at driving agility, flexibility, and visibility across the entire network, to deliver products and services to our customers with the highest safety, quality, velocity, and world competitive cost. In addition, this role will deliver results related to Inventory Optimization, reduced cost & stable order to delivery metrics through the business cycles. This role engages with a diverse, geographically dispersed team of professionals.

What You Will Do:
• Develop and implement end-to-end value chain solutions in alignment with the product strategy
• Lead and manage the deployment of projects centered around OPACC Improvement Agenda (OIA) as applicable
• Develop and coordinate the structure, resources, and work plans for multiple, cross functional teams to deliver projects from strategy to execution
• Work with Global Transportation and Logistics teams to implement transportation and logistics solutions required to optimize the network
• Lead collaboration and communication across multiple business division functions, to effectively deploy lean product and network flow plans, which may include implementing changes to product price list, options and structure

What You Will Bring (Skills & Experiences):
• Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices and tools for controlling the whole processes
• Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): Knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.
• Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
• Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

Top candidates will also bring:
• Experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Inventory / Value Chain Management or Engineering
• CPS, Six Sigma Black Belt or project management experience
• Previous experience with or exposure to Earthmoving products
• Experience as a strong collaborator including interpersonal and negotiation skills to drive common value chain processes across multiple facilities within a product.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve very complex problems
• Previous experience in MRP systems (SAP preferred)
• APICS, CPIM, or CSCP National Certification

Additional Details:
• This role will be based in Peoria, IL, with ~15% travel
• Domestic Relocation is NOT offered currently
• Visa Sponsorship will not be offered

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
