Position Summary:

As our Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the full scope of our supply chain operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire production flow related to supply chain and materials management, from procuring raw materials to delivering the final product to our customers. Your expertise will ensure that our processes are efficient, cost-effective, and meet high-quality standards. Collaborating with various departments and external partners, you will develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory management, streamline logistics, and improve overall supply chain performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute significantly to our organization's success by ensuring seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in materials management (purchasing, planning, inventory control, etc.) or equivalent required
  • 3 or more years in a materials management leadership role (supervisor or manager)
  • 2 or more years of experience in an aerospace / defense or electronics manufacturing environment preferred
  • Import/Export Trade Compliance experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to support operations, engineering, and quality assurance functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to share knowledge at appropriate levels of the organization

  • Works with operations to set, track, and execute daily and weekly goals for your assigned work centers that take into account personnel and equipment constraints but support overall rate targets (KPI)
  • Demand Planning management coordinated with Scheduling / Planning to optimize workflow
  • Manages the cost center and monitors KPIs to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Implements and manages Lean manufacturing principles such as Six Sigma and Kaizen to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve product quality
  • Leads and manages all procurement and materials management activities ,including order placement, supplier reduction/evaluation/certification, supplier follow-up, price negotiation, and compliance with government procurement regulations
  • Ensures all material management policies are consistent with inventory control objectives
  • Optimizes Inventory storage location. Set up Min Max, reduce E&O, and improve the overall layout of the stock room.
  • Works closely with divisional materials personnel to maintain continuity with purchasing and supplier management processes
  • Facilitates corporate purchasing and materials initiatives,including common part numbers, supplier-managed inventory, consolidated purchasing agreements, supplier reduction, and supplier quality certifications
  • Conducts performance review, corrective action, and goal setting for direct reports
  • Provides career development, mentoring, and succession planning
  • Maintains AS9100, ISO9001 standards for ITAR-compliant facility
  • Culture and Talent Development - Champion the Winchester culture and set clear goals and expectations
  • Works with a global network of suppliers, with a focus on long-term relationship building, capacity planning, and analysis for production based on demand and timeliness
  • Leads by example, holds people accountable, and utilizes data to make informed decisions
  • Effectively partners with Operations, Engineering, Sales, Quality, leadership, employees, vendors, and customers to have a positive impact on the organization
  • Provide administrative and hands-on support as needed to the department to ensure efficient operations
  • Leads and promotes Continuous Improvement events and activities
  • Defines, modifies, or improves product flow to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Focuses on driving Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity
