Full Job Description
About the Role

Our team drives global demand and supply planning across all hardware product lines, optimizing forward and reverse inventory across regional warehouses to fulfill customer demand. We keep hardware moving through its full lifecycle.

As our supply chain continues to evolve with the growing business, we're looking for a Supply Chain Manager for Aftermarket Operations to own the strategy and outcomes for our products' full post-sale lifecycle - refurbishment, spare parts, end-of-service, and non-revenue inventory. You'll manage key vendor relationships directly, make planning and disposition calls in your areas, and partner closely with engineering and quality teams to support failure analysis on warranty returns.

We are committed to a thriving in-office culture. This role requires that you be on-site at our office in San Mateo, CA 5 days a week.
What You'll Do
  • Refurb Strategy & Vendor Ownership: Own the strategy for which products get refurbished and where, and when to sunset a product from the program. Directly manage our primary refurbishment vendor relationship and own production planning and prioritization across refurb sites to keep throughput aligned with demand.
  • Refurb Quality & Production Oversight: Own quality control standards for refurbished units and drive resolution when quality or output falls short. Partner with internal stakeholders to manage the day-to-day operations.
  • Spare Parts Program Ownership: Own spare parts strategy end-to-end - from setup and stocking decisions through fulfillment - including the internal and external catalog and ordering experience. Define the spares approach for products approaching or past end-of-service.
  • End-of-Service Strategy: Own the strategy and operational execution for transitioning products through end-of-service, balancing customer impact, cost, and inventory exposure.
  • Non-Revenue Inventory & Disposition: Own the KPIs for non-revenue and returned inventory turnaround, and set the disposition rules that determine how returned inventory gets processed, resold, or retired. Drive fulfillment of non-revenue demand across the business.
  • Warranty Program Support: Serve as the supply chain counterpart to quality and engineering teams on warranty returns - helping stand up and refine triage processes at our refurb center as needs evolve, and ensuring engineering gets the units they need for deeper investigation without delay.
What You Bring
  • Experience: 4+ years in reverse logistics, aftermarket operations, refurbishment, or a closely related supply chain discipline.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Track record of managing an external operational partner directly - setting expectations, holding performance to standard, and resolving issues in real time.
  • Decision-Making Under Ambiguity: Comfort setting rules and standards (e.g., disposition criteria, quality bars) where no playbook exists yet, and defending those decisions with data.
  • Strategic Ownership: A track record of taking a broad, open-ended mandate from leadership and shaping it into a concrete plan yourself - including bringing your own point of view on the right approach, not just executing steps someone else defined.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Proven ability to drive outcomes through people who don't report to you - coordinating across warehouse, engineering, quality, and other operational teams to keep shared work moving.
  • Data Fluency: Comfortable defining a KPI, pulling your own data to support a decision, and using data to catch problems before they become escalations.
  • Flexibility to Travel: Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time domestically and internationally.
  • Must be willing and able to commute 5 days in office.
