Supply Chain Manager - Supplier Collaboration

Global Supply Chain Systems

In this position...

Ford is seeking a dynamic and strategic professional to work cross-functionally with Information Technology (IT), Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L), Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) and other supply chain professionals to lead development of a new Supplier Collaboration Platform - transitioning Ford's global supply chain collaboration capability to a system built for speed, agility, and precision.

In this Global Supply Chain Systems role, you will design, develop, and launch a platform that serves as the digital backbone connecting Ford with thousands of supplier users worldwide. You will own the business case, delivery roadmap, and stakeholder relationships that ensure a seamless transition with no gap in service, while positioning Ford to reduce total cost of ownership, increase flexibility, and modernize how Ford and its suppliers collaborate in real time. Beyond core collaboration capabilities, this platform has the potential to evolve into a broader digital hub - creating a more unified, end-to-end supplier experience.

This is a highly visible role at a pivotal moment for Ford's supply chain transformation - you will help shape the platform strategy, influence executive stakeholders and build a team and delivery model from the ground up.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Partner cross-functionally with IT, MP&L, Purchasing, and supply chain teams to define requirements, prioritize capabilities, and align on the approach that delivers real business value quickly.
  • Co-lead the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and delivery of the internally developed Supplier Collaboration Platform, while ensuring no disruption to Ford or supplier operations.
  • Own the platform's strategy, ensuring core capabilities match or exceed existing functionality before introducing new features.
  • Evaluate and plan for the platform's long-term growth potential, including future extension into adjacent capabilities - building a roadmap that anticipates these needs as the platform matures.
  • Drive a friction-free user experience for both internal and external users, partnering with a dedicated UI/UX lead to deliver an intuitive, mobile-capable platform designed to scale across current and future use cases.
  • Champion an AI-driven software development lifecycle, enabling faster iteration, real-time data pipelines, and proactive/agentic insights across the supply base.
  • Manage the transition timeline and dependencies, including confidence gates, proof-of concepts, supplier onboarding, and the phased retirement of legacy tools - ensuring nothing is decommissioned until proven in production.
  • Build and lead a cross-functional project team, including onboarding of new resources and coordination with existing team members, to execute the platform build.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and change management across leadership in MP&L and Purchasing, communicating the case for change, principles for success, and delivery timing.
  • Own communication and training strategy for suppliers, minimizing disruption and ensuring smooth adoption through structured onboarding, micro-learning, and 24x7 global support.
  • Track and report progress against key milestones, including internal customer alignment, real

  • Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional projects involving both business and technology stakeholders

  • Leadership responsibilities over project teams, initiatives, or direct reports preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proven communication ability and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and align diverse teams around a shared vision
