Purpose:

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all supply chain operations to support aircraft completions, modifications, and maintenance programs. This role oversees procurement, inventory management, vendor performance, logistics, and material planning to ensure operational efficiency and program success. The Supply Chain Manager is expected to meet established KPIs related to cost control, on-time material availability, inventory accuracy, and supplier performance while ensuring compliance with aviation regulatory requirements.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Lead procurement, materials management, logistics, and inventory control functions to support aircraft production schedules.
  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with operational and financial objectives.
  • Expected to meet KPIs related to on-time material delivery, inventory accuracy, supplier performance, cost savings, and purchase order cycle time.
  • Establish and manage supplier relationships, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with Program Management, Engineering, and Operations to forecast material requirements and prevent schedule delays.
  • Oversee purchasing of aircraft components, avionics, connectivity systems, interiors, and related materials.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, traceability requirements, and quality standards for aviation materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels to optimize working capital while maintaining operational readiness.
  • Partners with internal audit, finance, and external auditors to validate cycle count procedures, maintain audit-ready documentation, and ensure traceability of all rotable, expendable, and consumable aviation assets in alignment with regulatory and airworthiness standards.
  • Manages the full lifecycle of tooling assets including procurement, calibration scheduling, maintenance, and repair coordination to ensure operational readiness and compliance with aviation regulatory standards and quality management requirements.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage supply chain budgets and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
  • Address material shortages, vendor issues, and logistical challenges proactively to minimize production impact.


Minimum Qualifications or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • 5 - 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or materials management, preferably in aviation, aerospace, or manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, procurement processes, and supplier management.
  • Experience with ERP systems and supply chain software platforms.
  • Demonstrated success meeting operational KPIs and managing budgets.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.


Preferred Qualifications or Experience:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience in VIP aircraft completions, MRO operations, or aerospace manufacturing.
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or similar professional credential.
  • Familiarity with FAA traceability requirements, 8130 documentation, and aviation quality systems.
  • Experience leading supply chain teams in a multi-site environment.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Directly oversees buyers, procurement specialists, inventory personnel, and logistics staff.
  • Responsible for hiring, performance management, training, and development of supply chain team members.
  • Ensures team accountability for meeting departmental KPIs and operational targets.

  • Strong understanding of aviation supply chain dynamics, lead times, and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and analyze cost drivers.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on operational leadership capability.

Travel:

Travel out-of-area and overnight travel are to be expected for business industry work, events and occasional business networking and negotiation meetings.
