Job Summary:

This position will report directly to the Plant Manager in Phoenix. Primary purpose is to ensure products are delivered on time, at short lead time, and at the lowest possible cost with no transportation hassles. Lead, assess, and coordinate the Extrusion and Fabrication scheduling and traffic process. Responsible for linking sales to manufacturing, and coordinating the scheduling all orders to the Extrusion and Fabrication departments. Manage Cast House, Extrusion and Fabrication lead times and capacity calendars to ensure proper booking of orders and provide feedback as to staffing requirements to match demand. Manage all inventories throughout the facility.

  • Drive a safety culture where safety is the number one priority for all employees
  • Manufacturing Planning
  • Production Planning, Cast House schedules to match Extrusion and outside log sales requirements. Extrusion press schedules and Fabrication schedules to meet customer demands.
  • Transportation, external shipments (Traffic Control) sight wide
  • Inventory Control sight wide. Incoming metal control.
  • Deliver -On-Time systems for Operations
  • Other responsibilities as needed

  • 8 years of experience in an industrial environment
  • BS required, MA preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Strategic and analytical thought capability.
  • Strong general leadership skills. Self motivated, strong values.
  • Ability to define and document process flow mapping.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to read, analyze and write reports, business. correspondence, specifications and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to understand variety of production and material methods to aid and direct improvement and training.
  • Fully fluent in English. Spanish preferred
