Summary:
Haigh-Farr is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will coordinate the movement of goods from the Company to our customers, ensuring that everything runs efficiently and that product meets customers' expectations. You will be responsible for managing inventory, optimizing logistics and coordinating with suppliers to meet demand. You will also analyze data to forecast supply needs and ensure maximum efficiency.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Coordination of production schedules, inventory levels, and product demand.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Collaborate with Production and Planning teams to align supply chain activities with manufacturing schedules and customer demand. This includes coordinating production schedules and managing the flow of materials.
- Close collaboration with Quality Department to align with approved vendors and ensure quality standards are met.
- Analyze trends and data to forecast future needs and streamline operations and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical guidelines and standards.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and vulnerabilities this includes developing contingency plans for potential disruptions.
- Provides leadership and guidance to materials planning and purchasing staff including training and mentoring. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate contracts with suppliers and common carriers. Implement strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Monitor transportation and logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Lead cross-functional teams to coordinate efforts and maximize performance.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of ERP systems, in particular SAP.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and management.
- Organizational skills
- Detailed-oriented.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced highly regulated environment.
- Experience in a DoW contracting environment a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as business, engineering or logistics.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
- U.S. Citizen, with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
