Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent to join our Orthopaedics team as a Manager, GDCL US Joints Reconstruction, Supply Chain to be located in Raynham, MA (Hybrid). For the right candidate, remote work options will also be considered.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone Orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic leader to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our US Joints Reconstruction supply chain operations. Reporting to the Senior Director, US Joints Reconstruction, Supply Chain, you will lead the strategic design and daily execution of our US Global Distribution & Commercial Logistics (GDCL) supply chain network.

This leader supports the end-to-end movement of finished goods from manufacturing facilities to regional distribution centers, distributor partners, and ultimately to the end customer (hospitals and surgical centers). A primary focus is maximizing surgical order fulfillment rates while managing a complex logistics network of loaner instrument kits and multi-SKU surgical trays.

Position Summary

The Manager, GDCL US Joints Reconstruction, Supply Chain leads a high-performing team of Logistics, Supply Chain, and Business Intelligence Analysts. This role supports the optimization of the US end-to-end product flow, order fulfillment networks, and distribution metrics for the US Joint Reconstruction business unit. This leader bridges the gap between insights and operational execution to ensure surgical implants, instrumentation, and loaner kits reach hospital networks, distributors, and surgical teams with flawless accuracy.

Core Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Talent Development:

  • Manage, coach, and develop a dedicated team of logistics and data analysts, aligning individual growth plans with supply chain objectives.
  • Foster a culture of data storytelling, elevating the team's ability to identify risk and drive alignment between supply chain activities and commercial business plans.
  • Establish clear performance objectives, balance workload distribution and champion inclusive leadership practices.


Advanced Analytics & Network Optimization:

  • Direct the continuous evaluation of the US physical footprint, utilizing analytics to optimize node locations for regional fulfillment networks.
  • Deploy interactive business intelligence solutions (e.g., Power BI dashboards) to track KPIs like OTIF, inventory turns, and other financial / operational metrics.
  • Ensure order restrictions are aligned with the business objectives.


Customer Logistics & Market Excellence:

  • Synchronize distribution capabilities with commercial and customer service strategies to meet both internal and external SLAs.
  • Partner with Sales & Operations Planning teams to safeguard logistics readiness for both BB & NPIs in support of commercial regional launches, competitive conversion requests, and field orders via the review process.
  • Manage ad-hoc analytic projects and cross-functional programs that support business strategy and support recommendations for the existing fleet of assets.


Qualifications / Requirements

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's undergraduate degree in engineering, business, operations, supply chain disciplines, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Master's degree or MBA


Experience and Skills

Required

  • 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain, operations, finance, and/or inventory management.
  • Must be proficiently using Microsoft Office and SAP/OTC.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting defined timelines.
  • Capability to make sound management decisions and identify actions that will support company initiatives.
  • Proven ability to make effective oral and written presentations which result in meeting the departmental goals/objectives.
  • Competence to build effective interdependent partnering relationships and employee relationships and work effectively across various functional areas.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute with precision.
  • Strong project management capabilities and experience in driving cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.

Preferred

  • Experience in Alteryx and PRMS/AS400.
  • Operations competencies inclusive of product innovation, planning, customer & logistics services, and manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting Joints Reconstruction or orthopedic medical device portfolios.
  • Experience navigating regulatory, quality, and compliance requirements in MedTech.

  • Language: English required.
  • Certifications: APICS/CSCP, CPIM, Lean, Six Sigma (are a plus).
