General Summary:
The Capacity Planning Manager is responsible for leading planning coordination across all post-fab semiconductor
manufacturing processes, including Bump, Probe, BE2, Assembly and Final Test. This role requires a comprehensive
understanding of product and resource requirements, manufacturing capacity, throughput rates, capital equipment/hardware
lead times, resource utilization and sourcing strategies. Additionally, this role will oversee the development, utilization and
maintenance of internal capacity models for all post-fab semiconductor manufacturing operations.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Generating short-term and long-term supplier forecasts.
• Communicating forecast demands to suppliers and collaborating closely with supplier teams to address capacity
constraints to support build plans and forecast demands.
• Analyzing capacity constraints and identifying solutions.
• Creating equipment CapEx plans to support short-term and long-term forecast demands.
• Defining, communicating and planning Test Hardware requirements to support near- and long-term demand
requirements.
• Managing constraint resolution in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product/Test Engineering,
Sourcing, Business Units, Operations, Suppliers, and Quality Engineering.
• Generating capacity scenarios and recommending solutions to support demand upsides, sourcing strategies,
utilization strategies and capacity expansion strategies.
• Maintaining capacity planning attributes and resource availability in the planning system.
• Managing binning strategy and execution to optimize yield utilization, reduce inventory write-downs and support
efficient product disposition.
• Defining system and process requirements, identifying efficiency improvements and collaborating with IT and BPA
teams to implement solutions.
• Leveraging enterprise planning systems to drive demand-to-supply alignment, capacity planning and execution within
complex manufacturing environments.
• Leading, mentoring and developing team members to drive execution, accountability and continuous improvement
across capacity planning activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Operations, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 7+ years of Supply Chain, Product Planning, or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical
experience.
• 8+ years of industrial engineering or capacity planning and modeling experience (including risk analysis, efficiency
maximization, data analysis, manufacturing processes).
• 5+ years of semiconductor factory production planning with proficiency in post-fab capacity modeling, including
Probe and Final Test and KPI analysis such as OEE, utilization, cycle time and throughput.
• 3+ years of people management or team leadership experience, preferably in semiconductor manufacturing, supply
chain planning or industrial engineering.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and partnering with global OSATs, foundries, test suppliers or
semiconductor manufacturing partners.
• Experience with enterprise planning software tools (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Kinaxis, Coupa).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or VBA Macros.
• Test and Hardware planning experience.
• Proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau.
• APICS/CSCP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent process improvement certification.
Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$118,400.00 - $177,600.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
