Position Title: Supply Chain Lead

Location: Arlington, VA (Pentagon)

Salary: $180,000 - $190,000

***THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD***

Responsibilities:
  • Develop an end-to-end map of critical suppliers and dependencies below the prime contractor.
  • Identify sole-source, single-source, fragile-source, foreign-source, and long-lead dependencies.
  • Segment suppliers based on:
    • Effect on program deliveries.
    • Current and required capacity.
    • Financial and operational health.
    • Recovery time.
    • Substitutability.
    • Qualification requirements.
  • Examine material lead times, purchase-order coverage, supplier schedules, demand signals, and delivery performance.
  • Determine whether apparent supplier problems are caused by the supplier, the prime contractor, unstable requirements, engineering changes, late purchase orders, funding, or inadequate forecasting.
  • Develop supplier-specific intervention and recovery plans.
  • Coordinate appropriate action with the prime, DCMA, DLA, engineering authorities, contracting personnel, and other government organizations.
  • Track supplier hiring, tooling, material, capital investment, qualification, first-article, quality, and delivery milestones.
  • Assess alternate-source, second-source, or redesign options when the incumbent source cannot support required production.
  • Maintain early-warning indicators for emerging supplier risk.
  • Verify that supplier recovery is reflected in actual deliveries and prime-contractor production.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7-10 years of defense/aerospace supplier management, procurement, supplier development, supplier quality or industrial-based experience required.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance is required.

Preferred Experience:
  • Aerospace or defense supply-chain management.
  • Supplier development, procurement, subcontract management, supplier quality, or industrial-base analysis.
  • Experience working beyond the prime-contractor level.
