About the Opportunity

This position is for a Facilities Category Specialist with the FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [SC00].

The Facilities Category Specialist will support strategic sourcing initiatives across facilities-related categories including preventative maintenance (generator, HVAC, etc), janitorial services, landscaping, snow removal, waste management, general construction building projects, electrical, fire protection, food services, third-party logistics, and other real estate and operational services. This role collaborates with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver cost savings, service improvements, and strategic value.

FirstEnergy Supply Chain is undergoing a digital transformation, implementing a new Source-to-Pay system and investing in advanced tools such as market intelligence software, supplier risk analytics, spend analysis, and clean sheeting to enhance strategic sourcing capabilities.

This position is designated as on-site in Akron, Ohio.
