Full Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Procurement Analyst to help us deliver the best quality meat and seafood to our customers and to create data assets and insights that make that possible at scale. This role requires someone with strong analytical skills who can work closely with stakeholders and vendors to build action-oriented reporting, deliver rigorous ad-hoc analyses, and meaningfully improve visibility into our protein supply chains.

An ideal candidate is deeply curious, a systems thinker, and takes ownership over the analytical needs of the teams they support. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who wants to see their work drive critical business decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build and maintain actuals vs. forecast reporting across key protein categories, highlighting variances, root causes, and emerging trends to support proactive decision-making.
  • Develop data models and reporting to monitor the cost and quality of proteins throughout the supply chain.
  • Partner with finance and commercial teams to reconcile assumptions across forecasts, budgets, and actual performance.
  • Support yield and conversion reporting (e.g., raw to sellable yield, trim loss, waste) to improve transparency into cutter performance and efficiency.
  • Track key product performance metrics-such as repurchase rate, cannibalization, and seasonality-and deliver in-depth analysis that enables teams to understand SKU-level performance.
  • Support scenario analysis and "what-if" modeling (e.g., demand changes, yield adjustments, cost inflation) to help the team assess risk and opportunity before issues materialize.
  • Build and continuously improve dashboards that track core procurement metrics (including inventory weeks on hand, product weights, and unit cost) to enable fast, confident decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of experience in an analytical role. Experience in procurement/supply chain/demand planning preferred.
  • Strong technical skills across analytics and data tooling (Preferred: familiarity with Databricks SQL, Developing Power BI, or similar cloud-native analytics environments).
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights and influence key decision makers.
  • Deep curiosity and desire to learn.
  • Bias toward action - strong visualizations are important, but analysis needs to drive change.
  • Ability and willingness to commute to our Watertown, MA office 2-3 times per week.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

In your first year, you'll own our core procurement dashboards, have helped build at least one net-new data model that improves supply chain visibility and purchasing decisions, and be the go-to analytical partner for the procurement team.

Salary - $103,000-127,000
