Full Job Description
MISSION

The Supplier Quality Engineer will Support Supplier Management for NBPT and Juarez using internal procedures as the guidelines. Oversee supplier DMR, Auditing, and Top Focus processes for supplier concerns for NBPT and Juarez issues. Drive corrective actions for supplier issues from containment to permanent resolution in the supplier manufacturing and assembly processes, that are used to produce components and finished goods to ensure acceptable product quality and efficient production methodologies.

Oversee the launch of new supplier and components for NBPT and Juarez by verifying PPAP documentation including compliance submissions meets Mersen PPAP requirements.

DIMENSIONS OF THE POSITION:
  • Financial - Minimization of Scrap Dollars through effective and timely containment of non-conforming material.
  • Human Resources - Oversight of the resources within multiple Mersen facilities required to complete corrective actions and Launch activities.
  • Supplier Corrective Actions - Oversight of the Corrective Action process to ensure compliance with the process documentation and quality procedures.
  • New product / Process Launch - Integrate PPAP, Compliance, and Lessons Learned to risk reduction for new product launches.


MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Ensure process documentation is followed for Supplier Management.
  • Track, review, and disposition Supplier PPAP submissions.
  • Audit critical new suppliers to support selection and evaluation for the products they are quoting. Track findings to closure prior to launch.
  • Audit critical supplier to verify actions take to prevent reoccurrence for their associated Corrective Actions.
  • Track status of supplier RMA for nonconforming material after a DMR is issued.
  • Manage TOP Focus on the Top 3 underperforming supplier based on DMR's and Responsiveness.
  • Create and maintain a supplier Quality Manual to clearly define Mersen's Quality Requirement cascade to suppliers

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
  • Five to Seven years of experience in the field of Supplier Quality Engineering
  • Strong knowledge in ISO 9001:2015
  • Strong knowledge of AIAG PPAP process
  • Certified ISO 9001 Supplier Lead Auditor
  • Strong Knowledge of 8D Corrective Actions, Statistical Tools, Continuous Improvement Methodology, Change Management, and ISO Standards


The expected salary for this position is between $80,000 and $100,000 and will be eligible for incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, locations, skills, training, and experience.
