Location and Compensation
Buffalo, NY * Be part of an exciting journey as we prepare for production at our new facility in the Western New York Science & Technology Advanced Manufacturing Park (STAMP).

Salary Range: $79,530 - $99,420

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
Your role
Ensure conforming material supply by managing supplier quality performance, driving root cause and corrective actions, maintaining the Approved Supplier List, and developing supplier capability to meet Edwards and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Ensure supplier conformance by driving high incoming quality performance and minimizing requirement escapes through effective requirement flow down and technical clarification.
• Manage and continuously improve the supplier base to reduce DPPM, strengthen supplier performance, and mitigate risk through structured qualification, monitoring, and development activities.
• Lead resolution of supplier nonconformances to reduce closure lead time and prevent recurrence through containment, structured root cause analysis (8D), and implementation of effective corrective actions.
• Own and govern the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) process to ensure timely closure, high effectiveness, and elimination of repeat issues through disciplined execution and escalation when required.
• Conduct on site supplier quality patrols to verify process adherence, proactively identify risks, and ensure timely closure of findings through direct engagement and process validation.
• Manage supplier quality claims to maximize cost recovery, reduce cost of poor quality (COPQ), and improve closure cycle time through validation, supplier accountability, and structured follow up.
• Plan and execute supplier audits to improve audit performance, reduce nonconformities, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions through structured processes, product, and system assessments.
• Support APQP, PPAP, and supplier readiness activities to ensure on time approval, reduce launch defects, and deliver robust product and process introduction

Education level: • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, or a related field, (or equivalent experience).
Relevant previous experience: • 5+ years of experience across multiple quality functions in a process-driven manufacturing environment.
• Technical and Analytical skills necessary to understand manufacturing processes, support quality initiatives, execute root cause analysis, coach suppliers in performance
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, and supplier qualification processes to support new product introduction and ensure supplier readiness.
• Experience conducting supplier audits (process, system, and product) and assessing supplier capability, risk, and compliance
• Experience documenting, presenting, and communicating quality information for audits, management reviews, and decision-making.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis

Language skills: • Able to communicate in English
Knowledge Areas/Skills • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO 9001:2015 requirements, including audit practices, nonconformance management, and continuous improvement.
• Proficient in structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions) to drive defect elimination and prevent recurrence.
• Working knowledge of PCCA principles, quality requirement flow down, and traceability expectations to ensure robust process control and compliance across the supply chain.
• Ability to analyze quality data and supplier performance metrics (e.g., DPPM, SCAR trends, audit results) to drive decision-making and improvement actions.
• Demonstrated ability to drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives, improving process capability, quality performance, and cost of poor quality.
• Knowledge of GD&T and technical drawing interpretation.

Other skills and knowledge: • Self-directed, organized, and capable of working independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively interface with suppliers, sourcing, engineering, and operations to resolve issues and drive alignment.
