The expected annual salary range for this role is $125,000 - $143,000 a year.

What you'll do:

Job Description:

Assure customer satisfaction and operational performance through deployment of our Quality Management System as it relates to supplier quality performance. Ensure performance by owning supplier quality metrics, supplier quality assessments, incoming inspection and test, and driving supplier quality performance to achieve business and operational objectives. Provide overall leadership and direction for the Supplier Quality Function. Provide on-going performance improvement including during BPI, Quality and Lean activities. Manage the improvement and reporting of supplier quality performance indicators: Supplier PPM, Validation and Test Audit data, Internal Quality Alerts, Non-conforming material quality communication, external component quality alerts, A3s, 3ups. Develop and analyze statistical data and product/ process specifications to determine present standards and establish quality and reliability requirements for purchased products. Own Production Part Approval Processes, First Article inspection and customer specific requirements. Comply with all requirements and communication related to the management of supplier performance and supplier claims, including the compliance to related corporate and/or internal policies and procedures (APQP/PPAP, Supplier Certification, Supplier DPPM and DMR Management). Identify and implement capital projects, productivity, and cost out projects driven by supplier quality. Monitor performance of internal and outside supplier's quality, identify root cause, and lead the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to achieve business objectives. Ensure timely implementation of corrective actions on opportunities identified during assessments, tier meetings, or quality reviews. Conduct supplier quality audits to identify opportunities for improvement and lead the implementation of corrective actions. Lead internal/external ISO/EQMS audits. Position is fixed location based in Sumter, SC office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed. Under 15% travel for international and domestic business meetings with suppliers.

40 hours/week, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any) or a directly related field plus three (3) years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or process quality engineering. Experience must include:

Two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Leading, supervising, or coordinating quality engineers, technicians, or inspectors, including performance management and task prioritization.
  • Managing supplier quality performance, including supplier audits, corrective action management, and PPAP approval for externally sourced components.
  • Owning and using quality data systems and ERP platforms to analyze supplier performance, drive corrective actions, and report quality KPls to leadership.
  • Quality tools, including 8D, 5 why, Ishikawa, Pareto, Lean Tools, or Statistics.


One (1) year of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Power Bl
  • Arena Simulation or Minitab
  • MAPICS, AS400, and VISTA
  • SQPI (Supplier Quality Process Improvement)
