Job description
Within the Quality and Compliance Department of Safran Landing Systems, you will join the central Supplier Audit and Quality Assurance team (SAQA) :
• Support the supplier approvals process by:
o Providing quality interpretation of requirements to suppliers in order to speed up and ease the supplier approval process
o In case of discrepancies ensure that an action plan is defined and in progress at suppliers by checking the efficiency of the actions
o Anticipate as much as possible the identified risks in order to prevent any deviation on planning achievement
• For all major deviations on new requirements from Safran to suppliers (SMS, iSMS, APQP), you will support the internal supplier stakeholders in order to raise supplier's skills
• For all new suppliers (as part of the validation process of the Requirements Compliance Matrix, when the supplier is in deviation on quality requirements), for all suppliers (as a result of the AeroExcellence - Domain 4 industrial maturity assessments), or when granting new business that required growth of maturity of the supplier, you will ensure that the supplier implements a robust plan to meet the quality requirements, helping them to deploy the relevant standards to bring them to the level of compliance required by Safran LS.
• If needed support of the other Supplier Relationship Actors.

Main Activities:
• Support supplier onboarding, approval and risk mitigation activities.
• Lead retrospective APQP reviews to assess supplier product and process performance post-launch.
• Support the supplier stakeholders in challenging supplier's root cause analysis and ensuring sustainable corrective and preventive actions are implemented at suppliers.
• Evaluate feasibility and support supplier quality development plan to use tools such as FMEA, PPAP, MSA, Control Plans, 8D, and SPC.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Engineering, Operations) to align supplier quality initiatives with business objectives.
• Conduct supplier process audits, capability studies, and performance assessments to identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain documentation and metrics to track supplier performance and drive accountability.
Candidate skills & requirements
You hold a Master or Engineering diploma and have more than 5 years of experience in the field of quality or engineering, preferably in the aeronautics sector. Your motivation and proactivity are essential assets. You also have transversal and project management skills, you are able to mobilize different teams around quality issues. Your level of communication in English is fluid, both written and oral.
You also have the following personal skills:
- Leadership and ability to motivate cross-functional teams
- Rigour and organization in the follow-up of quality projects.
- Good interpersonal skills, both internally and externally with suppliers
• You will have to make frequent trips to our suppliers abroad
• Work in a demanding environment where operational excellence is a priority.
• Take a proactive and reactive approach to challenges.
• Contribute to cross-functional management initiatives in the supplier relationship by playing a key role in the collaboration between various departments.
Salary: $78,100 to $97,600
