This is a position in the Supplier Design Equipment group as an entry level Project Engineer. There will be interaction with other engineering discipline groups as well as external suppliers and aerospace customers. The emphasis will be on qualification testing of equipment that Collins Aerospace purchases from suppliers as well as customer requirement compliance and configuration management.
This role is onsite, in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. This role may be eligible for relocation.
What You Will Do:
- You will oversee and coordinate the administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines.
- You will liaison between project management and planning, project teams, and line management, owns estimates and variances to those estimates throughout the program.
- You will oversee the development, qualification and compliance of mechanical and electrical supplier components of Supplier designed equipment (i.e. mechanical, electrical supplier, etc components).
- You will ensure that technical requirements are correctly flowed to the Supplier.
- You will monitor and assess project concerns by developing resolutions that meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- You will participate in the coordination, preparation and maintenance of project plans, budgets, and staffing requirements to ensure that all action item lists are complete, and project quality expectations are met.
- You will ensure that the product development and qualification testing is correctly documented, performed, and approved, and that it provides complete verification of requirements.
- You will engage appropriate technical subject matter experts (SMEs) from within Collins to resolve any concerns with product design/development that cover areas outside of their engineering background or experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained prior to start.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: .
- Experience working across a highly matrixed organization, including team members, suppliers, and customers.
- Experience with Microsoft Applications, Project, Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
**Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience in Project Engineering or Project Management.
- Experience with DOORS.
- Experience with Collins tools (PLM/Teamcenter & SAP), design, and qualification processes.
- DO160 and MIL-810 Experience.
- JCL2& PMP & EVMS Certification.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
