Full Job Description
The Supplier Claims Audit Manager is responsible for leading, supervising, and executing supplier cancellation claim audits to ensure that only contractually obligated and substantiated costs are paid, delivering measurable cost avoidance for Stellantis.

In addition to performing complex audits, this role provides day-to-day functional leadership to Supplier Claims Auditors, including work planning, technical guidance, coaching, and quality review of audit workpapers and conclusions.

The Lead Auditor will interact extensively with suppliers, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and Program Management, applying sound judgment across engineering program governance, tooling approval trails, supply chain compliance, and commercial pricing mechanisms. The role requires both hands-on audit execution and oversight of audit delivery to ensure consistency, quality, and timeliness.

This position includes on-site verification of supplier inventories, production tooling, and other assets included in cancellation claims, and close coordination with Corporate Leadership Development (CLD) program participants, dealer field auditors, and other audit and operational teams. The Lead Auditor will prepare clear, executive-ready reporting and serve as a primary point of contact for audit matters within the supplier claims domain.

Travel requirement: up to 30%, primarily within the Midwest.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit Execution & Technical Leadership
  • Lead and execute complex supplier cancellation claim audits end-to-end, including planning, fieldwork, documentation, and reporting
  • Perform and review substantive testing of supplier claims to validate cost eligibility and contractual compliance
  • Conduct and oversee on-site verification of inventories, tooling, and other claimed assets
  • Evaluate claims against engineering program governance decisions, approved scope, and tooling approval and release trails
  • Analyze claims using commercial pricing mechanisms, including piece price structures, tooling amortization, and cost recovery models
  • Supervision & Quality Assurance
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and technical guidance to Supplier Claims Auditors
  • Review audit workpapers, evidence, and conclusions to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to Stellantis audit standards
  • Support workload planning and prioritization to manage volume, complexity, and deadlines
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
  • Serve as a key audit contact for Purchasing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Audit leadership
  • Communicate audit results, risk assessments, and recommendations clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders
  • Prepare executive-level reporting summarizing audit results, key issues, and financial impact
  • Analytics, AI & Continuous Improvement
  • Leverage data analytics and AI-enabled tools to identify trends, anomalies, and emerging risks within supplier claims data
  • Support the enhancement of supplier claims audit methodologies, including automation, standardization, and scalability
  • Contribute to broader audit initiatives, training, and knowledge-sharing across the Audit & Compliance organization

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in audit, finance, purchasing, engineering, or supply chain-related roles
  • Demonstrated ability to lead audits independently, exercise professional judgment, and manage complex issues

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience supervising or mentoring auditors or cross-functional team members
  • Strong understanding of engineering program governance, tooling lifecycle management, and supplier commercial structures
  • Experience working with supplier cancellation, excess & obsolete, or tooling-related claims
  • Proficiency with data analytics, automation, or AI-based tools to support audit execution and risk identification
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical and commercial topics into executive-level insights
