The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time SUPERVISORY TRAINING SPECIALIST , NH-1712-03, to work at the Air Force Materiel Command, (AFMC) in the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) in the Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC) with OB/STAFF at HILL AIR FORCE BASE located in LAYTON, UT. 2026 Salary Range: ($89,508-$138,370) / Yearly with locality

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor for Maintenance Specific Training, Training Management, Courseware Development and Classroom Instruction within the Air Logistics Complex. Serves as the single point of contact for training matters affecting Complex maintenance personnel. Responsible for the development, execution and compliance of an effective functional training program and its policies to ensure a skilled, well-trained, qualified, certified, safe and healthy civilian and military workforce in accordance with all applicable AFIs. Under the auspices of the Force Development Flight, provides for career development and progression to enhance the workforce's performance and career success with minimal impact to production at the best cost.

- Obtain & maintain Security clearance

- This may be a designated Drug Testing Position

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable)

- The employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include overtime, and/or days, swings, or owl shifts.

- The employee may be required to work during base exercises, contingencies or emergency situations.

- The employee may occasionally travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft IAW Joint Travel Regulations to other government installations, contractor facilities, or other commercial Locations for both training and mission accomplishment.

1. Mastery knowledge of the applicable principles, concepts, policies, and laws; functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support.

2. Extensive knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures

3. Extensive knowledge of principles and practices of team building, developing interpersonal relationships, maintaining good working relationships, and leading members as a cooperative team.

4. Ability to plan, organize, and direct, mentor, motivate and appraise the staff of a small to medium (or large) sized organization.

6. Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options.

7. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
