- Plan, schedule, direct, accomplish, supervise, and review all civil works, other projects and work for others real estate activities under the jurisdiction of the Corps of Engineers.
- Ensure the acquisition of real property interests for civil work, and other projects through purchase, condemnation, exchange, transfer, lease, and permit.
- Out-grant various real estate interests which include, but are not limited to, agricultural and grazing leases, road and utility easements, public park leases, permits to other Federal agencies, and a wide variety of other out-grants.
- Incumbent is responsible for the direction of contract work, including items such as budget, deadlines, standards of work, and arranging for work inspections.
- Review transactions and instruments for completeness and compliance with policies and goals of the Division, the District, and USACE.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:
1) managing and executing complex Civil Works real estate actions, including acquisitions, relocations, land rights, out-grants, project partnerships, real estate instruments, or encroachment resolutions;
OR 2) planning, coordinating, or overseeing the workflow, priorities, and resource requirements of a Civil Works real estate program or team;
OR 3) negotiating, interpreting, or defending significant real estate transactions and providing authoritative guidance to internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with Federal laws, regulations, policies, and real estate authorities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

The probationary period provides the opportunity to assess the new supervisor's performance (not technical ability or program knowledge) and ascertain their success or return them to a non-supervisory position if warranted.
