Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS) in the Radiological Controls Department of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

Help

  • You will evaluate overall shop and/or project workload, identify priorities, and shift assignments accordingly.
  • You will evaluate short and long-term work schedules to identify and coordinate training, medical qualification, and work qualification requirements.
  • You will determine facility and equipment requirements as well as availabilities.
  • You will conduct risk assessment of new work requests and identity appropriate assist trades needed.
  • You will direct resource and manning utilization and planning efforts for the Division.
  • You will assign resources to a variety of projects to ensure personnel are available to perform work.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing the planning, allocation and utilization of workforce resources (e.g. determining required trade skill levels, training, facility/equipment availability) to ensure production control requirements for ship overhaul projects are met.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
