The duties and responsibilities for a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC), GS-2210-15 generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provides technical advice and recommendations to leadership and other senior decision authorities on complex cybersecurity matters.
- Establishes cybersecurity performance objectives and measures and monitor program outcomes against established goals.
- Leads long-range cybersecurity strategic planning activities aligned with mission requirements and enterprise IT priorities.
- Analyzes current and emerging cybersecurity requirements, technical doctrines, mandates, and regulatory frameworks.
- Coordinates cybersecurity planning activities with internal organizations, agencies, interagency partners, and other stakeholders.
- Determines program priorities, allocates resources, resolves budget, procurement, and staffing challenges.

QualificationsTo qualify for the position of Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC), at GS-2210-15, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below.
Basic Qualifications (2210 series): Please refer to the OPM IT Management Series 2210 Qualification Standard for the specific experience requirements for the GS-12 and above positions.
ANDSpecialized Experience:
To qualify for the GS-15
grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable non-Federal experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following duties:
- Manages enterprise cybersecurity programs. AND
- Develops cybersecurity strategies to support information technology operations. AND
- Oversees cybersecurity budget and procurement management activities and funding associated with cybersecurity programs and services.
