Air Force Civilian Service is currently seeking a full-time Supervisory Industrial Security Specialist to work in the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC),Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Systems Directorate, Security and Information Protection Division (NIS) at Hill Air Force Base near Layton, Utah.

This position (XXXX) is an NH-0080-03 which has a typical 2026 salary range of $89,508-$138,370.

The AFNWC ICBM Systems Directorate, Security Division, manages the Information Protection, Special Programs Integration, Acquisition Security and Special Security responsibilities for the Program Acquisition Executive. The Security Division faces the challenge of integrating cybersecurity and traditional security with complex special programs and intelligence requirements sustaining a 50-year-old weapon system and bridging capabilities until it is replaced by the Sentinel ICBM.

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Supervisory Security Specialist, protecting the AFNWC ICBM Systems Directorate, from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information or technology considered vital to enterprise security activities and national defense or national security. Experience with complex and diverse special programs, security classification and intelligence requirements are highly valued.

RANGE OF DUTIES:
• Serves as a Supervisory Security Specialist in the Security Integration Branch for the ICBM Systems Directorate Security Division (NIS) and acts as the subject matter expert for Special Access Program (SAP), Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI) and Acquisition Security, providing related technical advice to leaders and personnel on complex security issues.
• As a supervisor, leads, develops and trains a multi-disciplinary team of security professionals with a range of experience, reviewing and assessing contractor work performance to include tracking progress, evaluating work products, supporting missions, and facilitating process development & improvement initiatives.
• Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the security branch, ensuring all activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
• Collaborates with essential division and mission partners for effective warfighter support, providing security management and assistance where they are needed and when they are needed in support of America's 24/7/365 nuclear deterrence mission.
• Plans, organizes and directs security support for Directorate organizations, facilities and acquisition program systems that support advanced or special programs and SCI material at contractor and other government locations, ensuring all elements of protection comply with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the program.
• Collaborates on the development of security/technology protection risk, mitigation assessment and mitigation strategies/recommendations based on intelligence-derived threat issues.
• Engages daily with the supported and supporting Directorate staff, mission partners, associated ICBM program offices and contractors to understand and advise leaders on decisions regarding security requirements.

Desired Skills:
• Five or more years' expert knowledge and experience in a wide range of advanced concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices involving multiple security disciplines and environments are preferred for this position.
• Skill in interpreting a variety of special programs and acquisition security policy directives, regulations, and guidance to assist subordinate divisions in establishing and operating internal security programs is highly valued.
• Candidates should have advanced knowledge of security program interrelationships to coordinate the objectives and plans of two or more specialized programs to support and promote information sharing and strategies.
• Knowledge of government contractual practices, protection planning, security protection levels and requirements for protection of USAF acquisition programs and/or supporting programs/projects. Familiarity with Defense Industrial Base security organization, operations, and management practices is highly desired.
• Skill in the use of analytical principles, practices, and techniques to review, evaluate, and apply several alternatives according to the security requirements, availability of materials, relationships with other protective programs, and cost/benefit considerations is highly valued.

• Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance with special sensitivity, Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access eligibility.
• Employee must meet Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) conferral within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification and AFI 36-2645, Security Professional Certification and Development.
• This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
• Employee may be required to work overtime or an irregular work shift.
