Full Job Description
Supervisor, Travel & Office Services Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada Employment Type: Regular Full Time Workplace Type: On-site Role Overview Reporting to the Manager, Office Services, the Supervisor, Travel & Office Services is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of office services and corporate travel programs, ensuring a safe, efficient, and professional workplace environment. This role provides leadership to the office services team and is the subject matter expert for office operations. It includes coordinating travel and encouraging outstanding customer service, cost efficiency, and following company policies. This is an on-site, full-time, permanent position. Key Responsibilities - Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures - Maintain the office condition and help to coordinate necessary repairs with relevant team members - Update and maintain office policies, under purview, as the need arises - Assist in the onboarding process for new hires in association with team members under purview - Address employees' queries regarding office management issues (e.g. stationery, hardware, and travel arrangements) - Liaise with facility management vendors, including cleaning, catering and security services in relevance to role and responsibilities - Provide policy mentorship for company travel arrangers to book travel arrangements for employees, including flights, accommodations, transportation, and other necessary arrangements. - Coordinate with vendors and travel agencies to acquire the most favourable terms and conditions for corporate travel bookings - Guide and delegate appropriate service providers to employees on travel policies, visa requirements, and any necessary documentation needed for their travel - Manage and track travel spend reports and have them provided to the appropriate internal administrators - Assist, when required, employees in resolving any travel-related issues or emergencies, including flight cancellations, missed connections, lost luggage, etc. - Conduct a yearly Hotel RFP process and arrange accordingly with all required properties - Stay up to date with industry trends, travel regulations, and new technologies to continuously improve the travel management process - Maintain and update the database of employee travel profiles, including preferences, frequent flyer accounts, passport details, and other relevant information Qualifications - 2-3 years of proven experience as an Office Manager, Front Office Manager or Administrative Assistant - Understanding of Office Administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures - Proficiency in MS Office applications, Teams, and SharePoint systems - Hands-on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers) - Demonstrated work experience as a Travel Coordinator, Travel Agent, or a similar role in corporate travel management is advantageous - Extensive knowledge of travel booking systems, online travel portals, and travel management tools - Strong customer service orientation - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Flexibility to adapt to changing travel arrangements and schedules - Proficiency in written and spoken English (additional languages such as Spanish are an asset) - Attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Pay Range: CAD $85,000 - $105,000 per year The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.

About Teck Resources Limited

The Red Dog mine is a large zinc and lead mine in a remote region of Alaska, about 80 miles north of Kotzebue, which is owned and operated by the Canadian mining company Teck Resources. It is located within the boundaries of the Red Dog Mine census-designated place in the Northwest Arctic Borough of the U.S. state of Alaska. The mine is the world's largest producer of zinc and has the world's largest zinc reserves. Red Dog accounts for 10% of the world's zinc production. Red Dog accounted for 55% of the mineral value produced in Alaska in 2008. In 2008 the mine produced 515,200 metric tons of zinc, 122,600 metric tons of lead, and 283 metric tons of silver, for a total metal value of over one billion dollars. At the end of 2008 the mine had reserves of 61,400,000 metric tons of zinc at a grade of 17.1% and 61,400,000 tonnes of lead at a grade of 4.5%, as well as significant additional zinc and lead in the less well-measured resource category. According to a 2007 EPA report, the mine, which produces from an open pit, was mining the Aqqaluk ore body, immediately adjacent to the previous pit. Aqqaluk contains an additional 56 million metric tons of lead and zinc ore. The expansion was expected to keep the mine operating until 2031.:?16
