Position SummaryAs the Supervisor Supplier Quality, you will lead a team responsible for supplier quality assurance, supplier development, and first article inspections. You will guide quality control efforts, support process improvements, and help resolve production issues. This position plays a key role in building strong supplier relationships and supporting reliable manufacturing operations.
What you will be doing- Lead, develop, and implement quality control objectives, audits, and inspection plans to resolve production issues, maximize reliability, and minimize cost.
- Drive immediate and long-term corrective actions through root-cause analysis, line support, and process improvement initiatives.
- Oversee procurement and use of gauges, supervise capability studies, and ensure effective measurement systems.
- Communicate quality concerns, progress, and corrective actions to management, customers, and OEMs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, promote 5S and safety practices, and support special projects as needed.
- Drive supplier development initiatives, mentor quality teams, and lead cross-functional efforts to enhance supplier performance and product quality.
Basic Requirements:- Associate's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field + 4 years of experience in supplier quality or quality engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field + 2 years of experience in supplier quality or quality engineering.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
- JD/PhD in Engineering, Business, or related field.
- In lieu of degree, 6+ years of experience in supplier quality or quality engineering.

Preferred Requirements:- Advanced knowledge of engineering science, technology, and their application to manufacturing and quality improvement for internal combustion engines.
- Experience with quality systems, manufacturing processes, cost optimization, and raw material evaluation for engine production.
- Proficient in GD&T and advanced use of precision measurement tools and gauges.
- CQE, CQA, or equivalent professional certification.
- Demonstrated Six Sigma expertise, including Green Belt or higher certification, with experience leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
