Full Job Description
Summary:

The Supervisor -Pipeline Operations position is responsible for leading a team of pipelinepersonnel in the Snyder District, supporting operations, maintenance, andproject management activities for the Snyder, TX area.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities:
  • Direct supervision over Pipeline Technicians. Oversee and ensure compliance with damage prevention, pipeline integrity management, and DOT Operator Covered tasks.
  • Provide guidance to resolve operational problems as required. Work unified with shared service departments to maintain consistency with all areas of business and maximize benefits of all departments
  • Ensure equipment reliability and efficiency with the support and use of the preventative maintenance initiatives.
  • Support of capital projects through project commissioning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations, company policy and company required maintenance inspections including DOT, EPA, OSHA, etc.
  • Prepare and manage maintenance/operations expense budget to complete required repairs/upgrades and perform budget re-forecasting as needed.
  • Provide recommendations for system operational improvements through submission of capital and expense projects as part of the annual budgeting process. Contribute to cost estimates and planning of projects and act as project manager.
  • Support and assist with all HES training activities, initiatives, updates and compliance with HES policies and procedures.
  • Ensure Operator Qualifications are current and provide training/qualification guidance as required.
  • Knowledge of emergency plans and procedures to take prompt and appropriate action during an event.
  • Strong Knowledge of 49 CFR 195.
  • Provide supervisory relief in various areas in the event of a pipeline emergency or business need.
  • Able to understand and follow P&ID drawings, ISO's, alignment sheets, and redline as required.
  • Contribute to cost estimates and planning of projects


Requirements:

Education and/orExperience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this jobsuccessfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job dutysatisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Must have experience with general pipeline maintenance/operations functions, including: pipeline construction, damage prevention, pipeline pigging, welding standards, Right-of-way/landowner interactions, pump operation, multiple valve types, tanks, and corrosion.
  • Must possess strong troubleshooting, problem solving, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment or independently as the workload requires.
  • Must have a well-rounded maintenance/operational background.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, Local and Company regulations including DOT, EPA, OSHA, etc.
  • Ensure Operator Qualifications are current and provide training/qualification guidance as required.
  • Able to understand and follow alignment sheets.
  • Experience and competency with Microsoft Office
  • Valid Driver's License

PreferredQualifications:
  • Bachelors or Associatesdegree in a related discipline,
  • Familiar with SAP maintenance and accounting applications
Working Conditions:

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Position is based in industrial/manufacturing settings which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
