Job Summary:The Patient Access Supervisor supports daily operations across assigned client facilities or Patient Access functions. This role trains and coaches staff, resolves issues, provides technical support, and promotes compliance with Optum and client standards. Responsibilities include supporting hiring, performance management, quality, staff development, retention, and on-call coverage, while serving as a relief leader and super user for new programs, processes, and technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:- Leads daily Patient Access operations in alignment with the Optum and client Mission, Vision, Values, policies, and performance standards
- Guides and supports staff through policy updates, technical assistance, training, onboarding, cross-training, coaching, and timely issue resolution
- Develops schedules and assignments, coordinates relief and on-call coverage, and supports multiple Patient Access functions and locations as needed
- Supports hiring, performance reviews, corrective actions, staff development, resource allocation, and retention in partnership with the Manager
- Improves processes, systems, service, data integrity, productivity, and quality; analyzes performance data and prepares policies, procedures, reports, and job aids
- Maintains an organized, budget-conscious operation; resolves customer concerns; and ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, integrity standards, and assigned duties

Required Qualifications:- 2+ years of experience in hospital patient registration, a physician office, healthcare insurance, a revenue cycle vendor, or a related revenue cycle role
- Willing and able to work onsite at the Greenbrae, CA location
Preferred Qualifications:- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) credential from NAHAM
- 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare; 1+ year of supervisory experience

The salary for this role will range from $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
