Job Summary
This job is responsible for the management and administration of the Access Authorization and Fitness for Duty Program. It will involve backup responsibilities for the Fleet Security Manager - Access Authorization and Fitness for Duty position as required.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:
  • Actively serve as a Reviewing Official for in-processing of personnel.
  • Serve as regulatory interface with the USNRC for the Access Authorization and Fitness for Duty Functions.
  • Supervise the outage personnel processing functions which will include numerous part-time personnel.
  • Serve as oversight for vendor contracts to support the outage processing and fitness for duty functions.
  • Provide support to the Security Manager as necessary for Site Security Operations and Administration.
  • Manage a site collection and testing facility for drug and alcohol testing requirements in accordance with 10CFR Part 26.
  • Serve as the Training instructor for the Reviewing Official and Fitness for Duty Collectors.
  • Oversee and protect sensitive information systems containing criminal history information of company and contractor personnel in accordance with 10CFR 73.57.
  • Manage the day-to-day implementation of the Access Authorization, Fitness for Duty, and Fatigue Programs at the nuclear site assigned, to include Health Services.
  • Establish and maintain a working relationship with local law enforcement and court systems to resolve AA/FFD issues.
  • Serve as the Personnel Access Data System (PADS) Administrator for the nuclear site assigned.
  • Manage a significant records system in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the management of self-assessments, audits, inspections, critical group investigations and response to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) concerns. Actively participate in external industry organizations
  • Administer select portions of the Security Organization Budget where applicable.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Fleet Security Manager- Access Authorization and Fitness for Duty.


Education, Experience & Skill Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years' experience in the nuclear industry related to security
  • Current Reviewing Official certification or ability to obtain in 6 months
  • Current Fitness for Duty Collector certification
  • Working knowledge of 10CFR Part 26 and 10CFR 73.56
  • Supervisor experience is preferred.
