About The Position
The Supervisor, Maintenance and Construction is responsible for supervising, developing, and evaluating individuals and crews engaged in the operation, construction and maintenance of customer, distribution, and transmission substations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical expertise to field operations, Transmission Dispatch, Engineering, Planning and other field supervision.
- Plan, schedule, assign, and direct the work force in a safe, efficient, and effective manner in completing procedural, construction and maintenance work.
- Assess substation reliability and recommend solutions to address deficiencies.
- Assist in the review and creation of procedures and standards.
- Direct field operations during substation emergencies and outages.
- Coordinate activities with customers, contractors, and other company departments.
- Provide a liaison role between field personnel and the dispatch and engineering groups.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field from an accredited college or university preferred. Five or more years of relevant experience is required. Relevant experience includes experience with electrical power or control systems (preferred, particularly for maintenance and construction activities), electrical system planning, analysis, design, or project management, etc. Consideration will also be given to military experience, with a minimum of three years in a leadership role. A thorough knowledge of electrical theory in both A.C. and D.C. electrical circuits is preferred.

Additional Information
Must have demonstrated leadership, communication, and human relations' skills. Subject to emergency call-outs. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a CDL License. Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include candidate testing and/or an individual aptitude or skill-based assessment. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.
Compensation Range:$105,100.00 - $162,900.00
At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
