Supervisor, LNG Operations, to lead the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our Magna LNG Peak-Shaving facility while supporting the delivery of operational excellence across the business. In this leadership role, you will guide a skilled operations team, foster a high-performance culture, and play a key role in ensuring the facility operates safely and effectively to meet both commercial and reliability objectives.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing LNG operations team, aligning priorities with operational excellence objectives and business goals while supporting succession planning and employee development.
  • Oversee the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of the LNG facility, ensuring compliance with all applicable procedures and standards.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing facility operations and providing operational expertise when required.
  • Champion a safety-first, high-performance culture by promoting operational excellence, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
  • Partner with Gas Control, System Planning, and other business groups to support reliability and commercial objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of operating and capital budgets while ensuring resources are effectively planned and managed.
  • Support a 24/7 operational environment, including emergency response readiness and collaboration with union leadership to maintain positive labor relations.


Who You Are:
  • Related university degree and seven-plus years' experience OR nine-plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing operations, maintenance, engineering, or industrial teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and lead change.
  • Proven ability to motivate teams, drive results, and balance competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Committed to fostering a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.


Preferred:
  • Knowledge of LNG operations, natural gas processing, industrial facilities, or similar energy-sector operations is considered an asset.


Working Conditions:
  • Participation in an on-call and standby rotation is required.
  • Overtime and occasional travel may be required.
  • Must be able to support a safety-sensitive, 24/7 operational environment, including emergency response responsibilities.
  • Residence within the designated geographic area is required.


Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
