Responsibilities

Job Summary

Responsible for leading a small team of Liaison Engineers providing support to the production line and ensuring team performance is meeting expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
  • Maintain and report performance metrics. Metrics reflect workload, responsiveness, performance.
  • Coordinates with Liaison leadership.
  • Communicates effectively with all areas of operations
  • Drives accountability for performance of the team.
  • Mentor and coach liaison engineering team.
  • Responsible for onboarding new liaisons.
  • Anticipates project tasks, task durations, and resource needs.
  • Delegates tasks to Liaison staff
  • Performs same duties as Liaison Engineer. This is a working leadership role.
  • Develop substantiation and provide disposition for non-conforming conditions.
  • Responsive to Support Requests.
  • Initiate and complete Fast-Track design changes.
  • Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachealors degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Master's degree is perferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft design or aircraft production
  • Minimum 5 years in a technical lead position where there was oversight of other engineers or engineering projects.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership, guidance and decision making.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Knowledge of FAA Part 23 regulations and other guidance used for aircraft certification.
  • Methods for problem solving and analysis.
  • Introductory budget and fiscal knowledge
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a cross functional organization
  • Competent computer database, spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing abilities
