As the Supervisor of Intake Operations, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for ensuring patients experience timely, accurate, and seamless access to care. In this role, you will guide daily operations, strengthen team capabilities, and drive continuous improvement across intake processes. Your leadership will foster a collaborative, service-focused environment that enhances patient outcomes and supports organizational growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily intake operations by prioritizing workflows, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring timely, accurate completion of tasks.
- Develop and coach team members, supporting onboarding, training, and ongoing competency growth to build a strong and engaged workforce.
- Monitor performance, provide feedback, and guide improvement efforts to support productivity, quality, and service goals.
- Oversee key intake functions including onboarding, insurance verification, authorization, and patient support coordination.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex insurance and coverage issues, ensuring accurate resolution and minimal delays in care.
- Drive new therapy onboarding initiatives, including payer research, workflow development, staff training, and implementation.
- Maintain and apply expertise in payer policies, medical and pharmacy benefits, and reimbursement requirements.
- Identify trends in verification errors and operational challenges, partnering with leadership to implement solutions and improve efficiency.
- Partner cross-functionally with Revenue Cycle, Clinical, Account Management, and Operations teams to support patient onboarding and care delivery.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and internal policies.
- Support scheduling, staff communication, and departmental updates to maintain alignment and transparency.
- Model professional, service-driven behaviors that reinforce a positive team culture.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in healthcare intake, operations, or related supervisory roles.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and workflow or patient management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in specialty pharmacy, infusion services, or healthcare operations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience including team development, coaching, and performance management.
- Familiarity with payer policies, insurance verification processes, and reimbursement models.
- Experience supporting accreditation standards or process improvement initiatives.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 61,700 - 102,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
