Supervisor Electrical About the roleSupervisor Electrical is a new role, which offers an exceptional opportunity to lead and direct Underground Electrical Crews, while ensuring they work in a safe and productive manner. This position participates actively to implement and execute maintenance and construction plans in a rapidly changing underground environment. This position facilitates the safety of staff, the community, and the environment, while communicating on a regular basis about equipment performance including availability, reliability, repeated problems, and cost.
The position will be on a 7/7 (12 - hour day) roster and while residential is preferred, the role is open to FIFO and DIDO, with access to our camp accommodation.
We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $135,700 to $183,500 CAD.
Key result areas in this role include:
- Direct the activities of multi-craft (high, voltage, plant electrical, instrumentation, and telecommunication) maintenance and construction crews by leading and managing work assignments for direct reports and encouraging subordinates to set and accomplish goals.
- Set goals and objectives and effectively manage the work performance of subordinates including cost management and control of maintenance activities.
- Manage the SAP notification backlog and the SAP work order backlog.
- Develop employee performance reviews and conduct annual performance evaluation discussion, recommend promotions, and carry out corrective actions as needed.
- Support the evaluation of preventive maintenance programs and report key metrics to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
About youAs a Supervisor Electrical, you will hold a minimum of 7 years experience in the electrical discipline within the mining industry. You will also hold at least 2 years experience in Maintenance or Operations in a supervisory role. It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:
- Thorough working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Knowledge of CSA Z462 Workplace Electrical Safety.
- Knowledge of CSA M421 Use of Electricity in Mines.
- Familiar with underground mining equipment.
- An aptitude for quickly learning and adapting to new computer programs.
- Continuation to the overall success of the team .
