JOB OVERVIEW:We are seeking a highly qualified professional individual to fill the role of Supervisor of Manufacturing for our Composite Manufacturing Operation at our Mesa, Arizona location. With independent judgment and discretion this position will direct, and coordinate manufacturing personnel and activities related to the production of company product while adhering to company policies, as well as safety and regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:• Conducts detailed department planning and participates in providing labor estimate information on new and repeat work activity.
• Participates in estimating annual department operating expenses and monitors expenditures vs. budget.
• Ensures jobs are carried out to or above customer expectations and quality standards.
• Ensure staff is properly trained to perform assigned work and maintain company safety standards.
• Ensure all work activity is documented per company procedures, retained as required, and available for any current work activity.
• Cross train employees to ensure continuity of operations and schedule achievement.
• Work with the planning and scheduling department regarding priority and production scheduling.
• Continuously improve work methods and provide input to product improvement.
• Work with support team to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Follow standard practices and safety procedures.
• Strictly adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
COOPERATION:This role requires collaboration across internal teams and with external stakeholders.
LEVEL OF DECISION MAKING:This position requires the ability to make daily autonomous decisions with and for others.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Required:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Five years of experience in aerospace production or other advanced manufacturing disciplines
• At least five years of leadership experience in AS9100-regulated aerospace manufacturing
• Ability to provide accurate direction to others and represent the management team within the company at a high level of professionalism.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Demonstrated experience in problem solving and process improvement methodologies.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence clearly and accurately.
• Ability to speak effectively and professionally before groups of customers and/or employees.
• Related two or four-year degree preferred.
• Experience with chemical handling and processing preferred.
• Experience working in a DOD environment preferred.
• Ability to gain BATF clearance
