The Air Export Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the air import team to ensure that all import shipments are processed accurately and timely in accordance with customer requirements and company policies. This position involves supervising and coordinating the activities of a team of air import coordinators, communicating with customers, carriers, and other stakeholders, resolving issues and providing excellent customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of air import coordinators to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Monitor and manage the flow of import shipments to ensure compliance with customer requirements and company policies
  • Communicate with customers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipments
  • Resolve issues related to shipments, such as delays, damages, or customs clearance problems
  • Ensure that all documentation is accurate and complete, including air waybills, commercial invoices, and other import documents
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including customs regulations, import controls, and hazardous materials regulations
  • Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and quality of service
  • This role involves working on a rotational 24/7/365 shift which includes morning, afternoon, night, weekend, and holiday work which rotates among the team members according to a predefined pattern.


Educational background / Work experience
  • A bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics, international business, or a related field is preferred. However, equivalent experience in the transportation and logistics industry may be considered.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in air import operations is required, with at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification in logistics or supply chain management, such as Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Experience in project management or process improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools, such as CargoWise or Cargospot


Language skills
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)


Computer Literacy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is required.
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and/or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferred.


For this position, the expected base pay is: $69,000 - $93,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations.
