What You'll Do:- Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment
- Supervise day-to-day accounting functions which includes accounting for corporately managed bank accounts, including clearings and bank account reconciliations
- Create and enter journal entries into accounting system(s)
- Prepare monthly General Ledger account reconciliations and analysis
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and corporate finance partners to support business objectives
- Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Lead, develop, and manage accounting staff, including assigning responsibilities, delegating authority, and providing training, coaching, and performance feedback
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall productivity
- Prepare and submit required financial reports, ensuring completeness and adherence to deadlines Assist in managing integration, system reconciliations, and migration from legacy platforms
- Other duties as required
What You'll Bring:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
- 7+ years of related work experience required, including 2 years in a managerial position
- Master's degree in Accounting or a related field is an asset
- CPA designation preferred
- Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger management is preferred
- Relevant work experience in accounting or finance roles is preferred
- Experience with specialized accounting software or ERP systems is considered an asset
