Job Summary
Under general supervision, Supervising Pest Management Technicians is a first-line supervisor responsible for the supervision, training and evaluation of assigned Pest Management Technicians and ensuring that employees are working in accordance with regulations and within their areas of State licensure and certification. Incumbents in this class are both licensed pest control technicians and certified pesticide applicators by the State of California and report to a Deputy Agricultural Commissioner and Sealer.

iii. Anticipated Start Date: Start date will be based upon successful completion of medical screening or other mutually agreed upon date.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Possession of a Structural Pest Control License Branch 2 (General Pest) and Qualified Applicator Certificate, Category A (Residential, Industrial, and Institutional) and C (Right-of-Way) issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs, California Structural Pest Control Board; AND,
  2. Possession of a Qualified Applicator's Certificate (Categories A and C) for Institutional and Structural Pest Control issued by the State of California, Department of Pesticide Regulation; AND,
  3. An associate's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency, in biological sciences or environmental health sciences, AND, two (2) years of experience as a Pest Management Technician II or comparable experience; OR,
  4. A high school diploma or equivalent, AND, three (3) years of the experience described above.
