General Statement of Duties This employee performs a variety of administrative tasks involving the management of a section of the Office of Budget and Evaluation or other administrative section of a city department. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with divisional and departmental policies and procedures, initiating direction for all activities within the section, and supervising and monitoring the activities of subordinate personnel. Perform related duties as required.
This employee performs a variety of administrative and analytical duties involving the management of the financial operations of the Wastewater Treatment Division of the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati. Responsibilities include conducting all necessary planning and forecasting activities and preparing documentation to facilitate the development of annual operating budgets; monitoring divisional expenditures; ensuring adherence to financial control policies and procedures; and providing direction for activities within the section.
The employee is also responsible for managing key Wastewater Treatment Division procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable procurement rules and regulations, and supervising and monitoring the activities of subordinate personnel. Performs related duties as required.

Required Education and ExperienceQualified applicants must meet all criteria in one of the following requirements:
A minimum of five years of responsible management-level professional work experience in a related area, with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field is required. Two of the five years must be in a supervisory capacity. Two years may be substituted with educational or related experience.
ORA minimum of three years of responsible management-level professional work experience in Human Resources, with a Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, or a closely related field. Of the three years, one must be in a supervisory capacity.
ORTwo years of experience as a Senior Management Analyst with the City of Cincinnati. Additionally, each applicant must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, or a closely related field. A Master's Degree in one of the above fields may be substituted for one year of experience. Certification of a Chartered Financial Analyst preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTSMust be an excellent communicator and team builder.
MILITARY EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE EVALUATIONMilitary education and experience may be substituted for college level course work at the lower and upper division baccalaureate and graduate levels and apprenticeship training at the vocational certificate level on a case by case basis based on the American Council on Education (ACE) Military Guide recommendations.

Retirement PlanThe City provides a defined benefit pension plan for part-time and full-timeemployees. New hires and re-hired employees are required to participate in the City of Cincinnati's Retirement System (CRS), regardless of previous participation in an Ohio State pension system or any another state or federal pension system. CRS is funded by employer and employee contributions, and investment returns from plan assets. CRS provides retirement and health care benefits subject to eligibility requirements.
