DescriptionStacy Witbeck seeks a Superintendent with strength in Structures. You will schedule all work and coordinate field crews through directives given to foremen as well as plan and schedule all requirements to control labor, equipment and material costs. This individual will be responsible for the timely completion of assigned operations and stay within budget.
The project is the first alternate delivery project for Salt Lake City and provides an opportunity to build a relationship for larger projects to come. This project includes a two-phase bridge construction over the Jordan River, while keeping traffic open in both directions. Additionally, the project includes diversion of the Jordan River, demolishing the existing bridge, and then building the new bridge on the same footprint. We build cool stuff, and this project will be an exciting addition to our Utah portfolio of work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee field personnel, daily/weekly schedules, and construction operations
- Supervise and schedule formwork, rebar, concrete, structures, and other miscellaneous construction crews and subcontractors on a daily basis
- Develop construction work plans
- Provide leadership and direction to construction personnel
- Manage field operations as well as coordinate work with other superintendents and subcontractors
- Assist in On-the-Job training
- Assist Engineers with quantities and productions
- Coordinate equipment and crews and other job related activities to maximize efficiency
- Attend status meetings to discuss progress and public impact
- Perform additional assignments as needed
- Develop and train Superintendents, Field Engineers, Foremen and Craft Workers
- Ensure that ALL resources assigned are maintained, protected, secured and used at optimum efficiency
- Protection and enhancement of public relations, company image, and company worth
- Understand project budgets and productions to manage personnel and equipment efficiently
- Have a working knowledge of all required plans and specifications
- Develop Foreman through mentoring
- Assist with survey and field layout
- Carry out job duties while maintaining company values
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise**Please note--Requirements are essential, but preferences have flexibility. **
Requirements:
- 10+ years minimum experience building bridge structures, box culverts, and retaining walls
- Experience erecting steel/concrete bridge girders
- Experience forming and placing structure concrete
- Experience with set up and operation of mechanical concrete screed equipment
- Exceptional safety and quality record
- Occasional travel is required
- Driver's License in good standing is required
Preferences:
- Experience working with UDOT Specifications and Standards
