We're looking for a Superintendent with experience leading large-scale vertical construction projects ranging from $30M to $100M while maintaining safety, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction. In this role, you'll lead field operations, coordinate trade partners, manage project logistics, and drive execution of critical milestones. Success requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to build trust with owners, subcontractors, and project teams. YOUR DAY-TO-DAYProject Leadership & Field Operations- Lead day-to-day field operations, overseeing craft personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and site logistics to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
- Mentor field teams, foster a positive jobsite culture, and hold team members accountable for performance, safety, and quality standards.
- Serve as the primary field leader and representative of Okland with owners, architects, consultants, and trade partners.
Schedule & Production Management- Develop and maintain master schedules and rolling three-week look-ahead schedules to drive project progress.
- Coordinate trade sequencing, site logistics, material deliveries, and manpower planning to achieve key milestones.
- Proactively identify schedule risks and collaborate with project teams on recovery strategies and solutions.
Quality, Safety & Compliance- Champion Okland's safety culture through active engagement, planning, inspections, and accountability.
- Ensure project documentation, RFIs, drawings, field reports, and quality control processes are maintained and up to date.
- Oversee inspections, commissioning activities, jurisdictional approvals, and certificate of occupancy requirements.
Project Controls & Closeout- Partner with project managers to support cost control, change management, forecasting, and project reporting.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, contract compliance, and completion of punch list and warranty items.
- Lead project closeout efforts, ensuring documentation, turnover requirements, and final completion milestones are achieved.
YOU'RE READY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or 10+ years of commercial construction experience.
- Experience leading commercial vertical construction projects ranging from $30M to $100M.
- Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods, building systems, safety regulations, and applicable building codes.
- Proven experience managing project schedules, logistics planning, phasing strategies, and risk mitigation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, CPM schedules, and contract documents.
- Strong understanding of project controls, cost management, change orders, and subcontractor coordination.
- Excellent leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and construction management software.
- Ability to lead teams in fast-paced, high-profile project environments while maintaining attention to detail and accountability.
