As Superintendent, you will provide overall leadership to the onsite construction team, ensuring high-quality project delivery that meets schedule, budget, and design goals. This role involves projects of varying size and complexity.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, monitor, and track critical path dates and milestone schedules
- Lead weekly foreman meetings and develop agendas
- Define and review expectations for subcontractors, including day-to-day scheduling
- Supervise Iconica's carpenters and laborers as needed
- Coordinate with the field team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Collaborate with surveyors and foremen to establish benchmarks, shoot grades, and verify dimensional control
- Maintain daily project documentation, including logs, photographs, and as-built drawings
- Ensure all team members and subcontractors work safely and in compliance with regulations
- Conduct weekly safety inspections and document findings
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors
- Perform carpentry and general construction work as needed
Qualifications & Background:- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or four years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree)
- Minimum of five years of direct commercial construction experience in a superintendent role
- Experience leading both ground-up construction and complex renovation projects, including work in occupied spaces
- Design-build experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, carpentry equipment, and power tools
- Ability to read, interpret, and review plans, shop drawings, and specifications
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel); Procore experience is a plus
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others
- Demonstrated initiative and a commitment to continuous learning
- Valid driver's license preferred
