POSITION SUMMARY
- Supervise and coordinate all field activities related to tunnel excavation, support installation, and lining works.
- Ensure daily construction operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications and schedule.
- Direct and manage crews performing tunnel excavation using SEM, TBM, or other methods.
- Monitor ground conditions and coordinate with geotechnical engineers to adjust excavation and support strategies.
- Oversee installation of tunnel support systems including shotcrete, rock bolts, lattice girders, and waterproofing membranes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations; conduct daily safety briefings and inspections.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, equipment operators, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, progress tracking, and field documentation.
- Support quality control inspections and ensure adherence to construction standards.
- Collaborate with the Tunnel Construction Manager to resolve field issues and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in shift planning and workforce allocation to optimize productivity.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in tunnel construction, with at least 5 years in a superintendent or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage crews in high-risk underground environments.
- Experience with SEM, TBM, and conventional tunneling methods.

Salary range: 165,000- 180,000
