About This Role
The Superintendent, CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) is responsible for overseeing onsite civil, structural, and architectural field operations. This position manages construction execution to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and with the highest quality. The leader directs daily activities, coordinates resources, resolves technical challenges, and maintains essential documentation to drive project success.

Responsibilities
  • Direct daily civil, structural, and architectural field activities to maintain workflow continuity and meet scope, sequence, and quality expectations.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and timely execution.
  • Partner with design engineering teams to review upcoming scopes and provide constructability input influencing design requirements, specifications, drawings, and details.
  • Develop and drive look-ahead schedules to meet project milestones and support progress tracking, change management, and cost awareness.
  • Enforce site safety programs, conduct toolbox talks, perform inspections, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate quality control inspections to verify work conforms to drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to proactively identify and resolve field conflicts, RFIs, and constructability issues.
  • Maintain daily field reports, progress photos, and manpower counts to document work status and support project communication.
  • Serve as the primary field liaison across subcontractors, project management, engineering, and client representatives to ensure alignment and timely progress.

Basic Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of construction and engineering fundamentals.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex subcontractor work packages and make clear decisions using first-principles thinking even with partial information.
  • Demonstrated exceptional ability through prior projects, completed work, technical accomplishments, or portfolio evidence.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience.

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience working in fast-paced engineering or highly technical environments.
  • A resourceful approach to delivering under tight timelines or budget constraints.

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $125,000-$165,000 annually.

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and market alignment. Individual base pay varies based on skills, education, experience, technical capabilities, and internal equity. The stated range is an estimate and may be adjusted based on market conditions or business needs.
Full-time hires may be eligible for long-term incentives such as stock options, as well as medical, vision, and dental benefits and access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
