About the role

We are looking for a Superintendent, Crusher & Conveyor Maintenance to lead a team of Maintenance Supervisors and asset management professionals responsible for delivering safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance outcomes at Kennecott Copper near Salt Lake City, Utah.

In this role, you will provide leadership and direction for maintenance execution and asset management activities. Working closely with operational and technical stakeholders, you will help ensure our assets perform safely and efficiently while creating a positive and inclusive team culture where people can thrive.

This is a great opportunity for a people-focused maintenance leader to influence asset reliability, optimize operational performance, and support the long-term success of a world-class copper operation.

Reporting to the Maintenance leadership team and working within a collaborative, safety-focused environment, you will:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Maintenance Supervisors and asset management professionals
  • Execute maintenance strategies that improve asset reliability and operational performance
  • Optimize the utilization of people, equipment, and maintenance resources
  • Oversee maintenance planning and scheduling activities to support business objectives
  • Manage maintenance budgets and operating plans while balancing cost, reliability, and availability targets
  • Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company standards and processes
  • Partner with operational, technical, and support teams to deliver integrated business outcomes
  • Support workforce planning, capability development, and succession planning within the maintenance team

About you

  • Leadership experience within maintenance, operations, asset management, or a related industrial environment
  • Experience leading supervisors, trades, technical teams, or asset management professionals in a complex operational setting
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to navigate challenges without clear precedent

Where you’ll be working

Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation, including a concentrator, smelter, and refinery, located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States. We produce copper, precious metals including gold and silver, molybdenum, and sulfuric acid. Kennecott has been mining and processing minerals from the rich ore body of the Bingham Canyon Mine since 1903 and is one of the top producing mines in the world, comprising approximately 11 percent of U.S. annual copper production.
